As the tournament season continues, we decided to take a step back and visit York University, the winners of last season’s CS:GO tournament. We talked to their coordinator, Cameron “Skelly” Thomson, about how the team feels going into the current season and any changes they’ve made along the way.
Riding on the coattails of their last win, Skelly is looking forward to another fruitful season. Since the last time we saw them, York has added two more players to their roster: Jimmy “Marved” Nguyen and Vladimir “xineF” Fenenko. The new duo seems to be working very well with York’s existing roster: so far, they hold a 3-0 record for this season.
Skelly also said that they’re looking forward to facing Robert Morris University for two very compelling reasons: “They are handsome and they are our friends.” Who can argue with a statement like that?
Make sure to catch York in their next matchup with the Michigan State University Spartans on November 1st at 1:00 p.m. PDT as the CS:GO season continutes. We wish them the best of luck in their matches and hope this season goes as well as last season!
