Bud Light and Collegiate StarLeague Bring Esports Events to Canadian Campuses

The Collegiate StarLeague (CSL) and Bud Light are touring Canada in January and February with “End Game,” a series of fighting video game tournaments. Featuring a collection of the most popular fighting games, and a $1,000 prize pool per event, the tour will cover eight major University/College campus-area bars, involving the local esports clubs and fans.

“Fighting game tournaments are some of the most exciting events you can attend in esports. We want to capture this element for even more Canadian students and bring it to locations that entire communities can come to support their top local players,” said Wim Stocks, General Manager of WorldGaming and CSL.

This year’s tour will kick off on January 23, 2018, and include the following locations and communities, with activations in Calgary and Vancouver to be announced:

January 23, 2018 - Wilf’s Restaurant & Bar - Wilfrid Laurier University, University of Waterloo, Conestoga College

January 25, 2018 - The Spoke & Rim Tavern - Western University/Fanshawe College

January 30, 2018 - The Ballroom - University of Toronto, Ryerson University, York University, UOIT, Seneca College, George Brown College, Humber College, Centennial College

February 7, 2018 - Emerson 109 - McMaster University/Mohawk College

February 27, 2018 - Heart & Crown - Ottawa/University of Ottawa/Carleton University/Algonquin College

February 28, 2018 - The Rec Room - University of Toronto, Ryerson University, York University, UOIT, Seneca College, George Brown College, Humber College, Centennial College

Registration opens January 19 online at endgame.cstarleague.com. Students are encouraged to register early to guarantee a spot in their 32 person bracket. If space permits, limited registrations may be available at the door on the day of the event.
