NBA2K Season Launched

As registration closed, the inaugural season for NBA2K has been launched; read on for more season details and what to expect as the season begins

Format

There will be a group stage with (1) match per week, with the top teams advancing to a single elimination playoff bracket. Participants may only use a team that is on the "eligible teams pool" for that match (available below).

**NOTE: due to the season start being pushed back two weeks, your initial schedules will show the original dates, starting on 2/16, but remember that it is actually two weeks later! We will be working to get this all updated manually.

Weekly Match Day

This NEWS POST has a guide to what you can expect on a typical match day, we will also cover the basic overview of a weekly match day below:

As a note, participants can reschedule their matches to another day/time if both sides come to an agreement, however you should expect to leave Saturdays at 12pm PST open by default. Any unreported matches by the end of the regular season will be counted as forfeit losses for both sides and any playoff matches not reported by the end of that weekend will also be forfeited.

Playoffs

In XBOX, the top (4) teams in each group will advance to the 32-team single elimination playoff bracket.

In PS4, the top (3) teams in each group + the next (2) highest teams from the largest groups will advance to the 32-team single elimination playoff bracket.

The playoff brackets will expand to Best-Of-Three matches with participants having to use a different team each time within the same match without repeats (meaning you will need to use two to three different teams) from the "eligible teams pool".
